Titans season 2 delivered us with what we all wanted, Deathstroke. Deathstroke had been one of the Titans biggest enemies throughout their history so it was only a matter of time before they brought him into the series. When he appeared we all expected this dramatic season with an insane fight scene to end it off, and it let us all down. The final fight scene was complete shit and they made Deathstroke too weak. If this was anything near to the Deathstroke we are used to seeing, he would not have been defeated so easily. Although, they do have a new history of making people way too weak, as for how Donna Troy died so easily. This leads to the first thing we need to see in season 3. The Return of Deathstroke. He was stabbed by Rose and left for dead, but that's the thing LEFT for dead. If the writers know what they are doing, they can easily bring Deathstroke back as with all his superabilities, he will have many ways to survive this. Now he does not have to be the main antagonist in the new season, but I would just love to see him make another appearance or at least hear news of him still being alive.
The second thing we need to see in season 3 is Beast Boy actually use his powers. We have seen him as a tiger and for a very brief period of a time, a snake. This is a complete waste of his powers as he has the ability to turn into any animal that he has seen and they have only had him turn into two animals through two seasons?? This is another way the writers are ruining this show. They are not using the characters to their full abilities and it is putting them to shame. Im not expecting him to turn into every animal now, but to see him discover his ability to turn into other animals would be nice and seeing him start to use the abilities.
The third and probably best thing we could get in season 3 is Roy Harper/Arsenal. In the comics Roy was a big part in the Titans and would bring a change to the team as it would create a different atmosphere and could help in the fights to have more of a long distance fighter and not hand to hand combat. This will be more important if Rachel stays away for a while when she went away to Themyscira when Donna had died. In season 2, we got a teaser of Roy as Donna name dropped him and this could be a sign that he will be appearing at some point throughout the season. With him being close to Donna, her death could be a way for the writers to bring him in.
These are three things that will be able to turn Titans around after a very disappointing season 2. There are still many more things we can hope for this season and be excited for. The casting of Barbara Gordon will be an interesting new addition as it could create drama between her, Kory, and Dick as Dick has had feeling for both of them in the comics.
